My name is Murat Yilmaz and I am a Berlin based photographer for mostly short documentary and also commercial projects for corporate and private clients.

I enjoy photography for many reasons. It helps me to learn, evolve and being creative.

With a camera I can give another, my own, perspective on situations or things that happen and draw attention to people or a matter who and which are precious. Furthermore it fascinates me how this technical instrument immortalizes not only a moment forever but also my state of emotion at that specific time with just one press of a button.

Street photography excites me in a lot of ways. It can be a mirror of society at a time, a funny or strange moment of a split second, gestures of love and hate, individual aesthetics, a reflection of oneself and so on. Every moment is now and unique. This is why I carry a camera with me (almost) all the time.
